That day, the morning began with something that I didn’t expect and didn’t believe. I woke up from the sounds. It was like explosions somewhere nearby. A little later, my children woke up. Anya (my daughter) immediately read a message on Viber from Varya (her classmate); she also came from the Donetsk region as we, the girl wrote, “We may not see each other again, I’m leaving far and for a long time, and you have to leave.”
They left, and we stayed. It’s not easy to leave when you are alone with two children and without a car. Today, it’s even more challenging to do this. We wanted to leave the hot spot. I quickly found a taxi to the district at a triple rate, but the driver did not give any guarantee, “we just go, and that’s it.”
“I hardly sleep at night; I listen to everything. Children are stressed, they see what is happening around.”
Now we are cut off from reality; we don’t own information and therefore cannot protect ourselves.
Therefore, while I am here, the children are under stress; they see the situation and that I am nervous. In general, it’s quiet in Vyshgorod, but you still can’t call the maximum proximity to Kyiv safe.

I hardly sleep at night; I listen to everything. Much support comes from our company; I am calm that I am employed and have such responsive management.
Florian Fleischmann is doing his best to help us. We came from the Donetsk region, but the war was 40 km from us and did not touch us. We accepted many refugees; many Donetsk branches moved to our city. People have learned to live anew, from scratch, and now it seems that life has improved for the children and many of us, and war again…
